Firm Overview

A specialized investment management firm is seeking an Investment Professional to join its team. The firm focuses on lending to critical technology sectors that will span a variety of industries: microelectronics, biotechnology, advanced computing, clean energy, AI, cybersecurity, and energy infrastructure, etc.

Role Responsibilities:

The Investment Professional will be responsible for evaluating, underwriting, and executing debt investment opportunities across companies undergoing transformation through growth, product launches, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. This individual will work closely with the firm’s senior team and partners to assess investment theses, structure transactions, and support ongoing portfolio management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing in-depth analysis and underwriting of potential investments
• Developing and maintaining detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
• Conducting industry, market, and company-specific diligence to support investment decisions
• Preparing investment committee materials and presenting recommendations
• Supporting deal execution, including coordinating third-party diligence and legal documentation
• Monitoring portfolio company performance and assisting with value creation initiatives
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support investment strategy

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in investment evaluation and execution, ideally at a private credit firm, private equity firm, or investment bank with sector focus in areas such as technology, A&D, or cybersecurity
• Industry knowledge: Strong familiarity with technology-driven sectors including AI, defense systems, and advanced computing, with the ability to assess their financial and strategic impact
• Analytical skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, technical analysis, and credit underwriting
• Execution mindset: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Team player: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach
• Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to support diligence, execution, and portfolio monitoring
