Job Description

Role : Instructional Designer

Duration : 10 months

Location : Primarily Onsite - Richmond, VA

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for our client,. The ideal candidate will design instructional materials, e-learning modules, interactive guides, and scenario-based training to support end-user readiness. This individual will also be responsible for developing assessment tools and KPIs to measure training effectiveness while ensuring alignment with project schedule, scope, and budget.

  • Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive training programs and content
  • Design e-learning modules, instructional guides, and interactive presentations
  • Create scenario-based training and simulations
  • Develop assessments and performance KPIs
  • Ensure training supports end-user readiness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain scope, schedule, and budget
  • Requirements: 7+ years of experience in instructional design and large-scale training programs
  • Strong background in curriculum development
  • Expertise in e-learning design and development tools
  • Preferred tools: Camtasia, SnagIT, Microsoft 365
  • 7+ years in training and QA within call center or billing operations (preferred)
  • 5+ years of operational experience in utilities (water, gas) or similar industries (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable, good listener, with a sense of humor
  • Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Forms
